SIC - Digital platform allows online booking of funerals

The platform was born in the middle of the pandemic, at a time when death is spoken about a lot every day. It was created to facilitate the whole process of arranging a funeral: it is an intermediary between those who provide funeral services and those who seek them.
Online since October, the "Funeral Booking" allows funeral homes to show all services and products available and allows customers to compare and choose in detail, what they want for the funeral.
Headquartered in the Business Center of Santa Maria da Feira, the "Funeral Booking" already brings together nearly a hundred funeral homes. Through the platform it is also possible to make an appointment with a psychologist, specialized in grief support.

The industry is used to working in small agencies, behind closed doors and in person. For the National Association of Mourners, transparency is one of the biggest advantages of "Funeral Booking".
In England, a similar platform for booking funerals already represents 40% of the market. In Portugal, "Funeral Booking" is just paving the way for a more technological way of dealing with death.
